Philip R Diab, MBA, PMP

Philip Diab has extensive global experience in project, program, and portfolio leadership.  As Past Chairman of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Philip is a recognized leader in the field.  A compelling speaker, Philip energizes audiences, large and small, on project management by using real-life examples from his career with organizations such as IBM in the United States, and others throughout the world.

In his current role as CEO of Leadership Formation, Philip provides strategic counsel, coaching and facilitation on strategy, transformation, and portfolio oversight.  Through his training and executive consulting activities, Philip advises public and private organizations on management, organizational change, mergers, and executive leadership.  His hands-on international experience allows Mr. Diab to provide relevant information that can be used across all industries to establish success on projects.

Mr. Diab’s particular area of expertise in project management includes strategy transformation, Project Management Offices (PMO), and corporate alignment.  As the 2008 Chairman of PMI, Mr. Diab led the Project Management community globally.  Part of his responsibilities includes opening a new PMI office in India, interfacing with large and small companies in the GCC including Saudi Aramco, and participating in both the Forbes and Business Week CEO Forums.  He has also been responsible for keynoting several of PMI’s key events including its annual research conference, its leadership meetings, and its annual Global Congress.  Mr. Diab is comfortable addressing audiences of more than 5000.

Mr. Diab holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Birmingham-Southern College, an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
